DinnerPlates

Privacy Policy

Effective October 20, 2026

Dinner Plates (“we”, “us”) is a meal planning app made by an independent developer in Georgia, USA. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have. In short: we collect only what the app needs to work, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t show ads or track you across other apps or websites.

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

We do not collect your location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and the app contains no advertising or third-party analytics.

How we use information

Who can see your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.

Photos

Meal and receipt photos are optional. They’re stored privately and are visible only to your household. You can remove a receipt photo at any time and keep the prices you confirmed.

How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your account and profile are deleted immediately. Household data (meals, plans, lists and so on) stays available to the remaining members of your household; when the last member leaves or deletes their account, the household and its data are deleted. Backups held by our providers are removed on their normal schedule.

Your choices and rights

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, and the database only lets members of a household read or change that household’s data. Your sign-in session is stored in your phone’s secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

Dinner Plates is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
